Licensing

* * Announcement * *

The New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department, Alcoholic Beverage Control Division (ABC) is excited to announce its implementation of the New Mexico Professional Licensing User System (NM-PLUS).
https://nmrldlpi.my.site.com/abc/s/login/

NM-PLUS is designed to simplify the licensing process, making it easier for applicants and licensees to apply for and renew liquor and tobacco products licenses and permits.

To utilize NM-PLUS, individuals will be required to first “Self Register” in the system. The “username” should be unique and in the format of an email; if the individual has other accounts within NM-PLUS (e.g., Boards and Commissions or Cannabis Control Division), the username will need to be different for each account. The same username cannot be the same across divisions.

While registering, the user will need to select a role they are registering as. These include:

  • Business Representative: Owners, officers, managers, of the business.
  • Business Agent: Employees of the business whose job duties make them responsible for licensing and/or compliance
  • Resident Agent: Individuals with limited power of attorney regarding licenses held by the business, but not associated with the business in any other way.
  • Licensing Agent: An agent hired by a business to assist with the application process.
  • ASE Instructor: Individual instructors for Alcohol Server Education courses.

Once self-registered, the user will receive an automatic email to set a password. At this time, the user will officially be logged into the system.

Business Representatives, of existing licensees, will need to link themselves to a business account by navigating to the business profile. Once linked to the business account all licenses held by the business should show on the user’s dashboard. Business Representatives will be able to link other “Authorized Individuals” to the business profile once those individuals are also registered in the system.

ABC will continue to process the paper applications received up to August 1, 2024. However, from August 1, 2024, all applications for initial licensure and permitting, as well as renewals, will need to be submitted through the online portal.

Please be on the lookout for additional instructional emails.

If you are in the need of technical support (password emails not received, cannot see your licenses after successfully linked to your business, etc.) please contact abchelpdesk@state.nm.us.

If you have questions regarding business processes or licensing and permitting, please contact ABC at 505-476-4875.
