Governor signs bill making changes to the Cannabis Regulation Act

SANTA FE — Today, Gov. Michelle Lujan Grisham signed Senate Bill 6, a bill that makes several major changes to the Cannabis Regulation Act, including giving the Cannabis Control Division (CCD) of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department (NMRLD) more enforcement powers to protect against unlicensed and illegal cannabis activity.

SANTA FE – The Cannabis Control Division (CCD) of the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department announced today it has revoked the licenses of two cannabis producers for exceeding plant count limits, not utilizing the state’s mandatory track and trace system and unsafe conditions, among other violations.
NMRLD Revokes License of Albuquerque Cannabis Business, Golden Roots

SANTA FE – The New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department announced today it has revoked the license of Golden Roots (DBA The Cannabis Revolution Dispensary), a vertically integrated cannabis business in Albuquerque, for moving illegally obtained cannabis through BioTrack, improperly transporting cannabis, and nine other violations.

Judge Grants Preliminary Injunction Against Sawmill Sweet Leaf LLC for Violations of Cannabis Regulations

SANTA FE – Today, Judge Elaine P. Lujan of the Second Judicial District Court in Bernalillo County issued a preliminary injunction against Sawmill Sweet Leaf LLC, located at 1501 Mountain Dr. NW, Albuquerque, NM 87104. After hearing arguments presented by Division Counsel, Robert Sachs, the court found that the business posed a clear and immediate threat to public health and safety and therefore must cease and desist all cannabis activity immediately.
NMRLD Files Petition for Preliminary Injunction to Immediately Cease Operations of ABQ Cannabis Business
