Social Media Policy
We welcome your participation on the New Mexico Regulation and Licensing Department’s (NMRLD) social media pages. Please make sure all comments and posts are polite and respectful and remember that opinions expressed by visitors do not necessarily reflect the opinions of NMRLD.
NMRLD retains complete editorial discretion over its social media pages. Comments and posts that don’t adhere to the guidelines will be removed.
Social Media Guidelines:
- We do not allow graphic, obscene, explicit, or racial comments or submissions, nor do we allow content that is abusive, hateful, or may be perceived as defamatory toward anyone or any organization, such as a licensee, an elected official, and/or a NMRLD employee.
- We do not allow solicitations or advertisements. This includes promotion or endorsement of any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency.
- We do not allow attempts to defame or defraud any financial, commercial, or non-governmental agency.
- We do not allow postings that suggest or encourage illegal activity.
- A comment will be deleted if it includes:

- Hate speech
- Name calling
- Profanity
- Political posts of any kind
- Soliciting
- Go Fund Me or similar requests/links
- External links that are unrelated to NMRLD or that do not contribute to discussions about NMRLD-related topics
Users who repeatedly violate the posting policy may be blocked from NMRLD’s social media pages.
The appearance of external links on NMRLD’s social media pages does not constitute official endorsement on behalf of NMRLD or any agency within New Mexico.
We do not allow complaints about specific individuals, businesses, or organizations to be made on social media. Instead, please submit complaints at https://www.rld.nm.gov/help-center/file-a-complaint/.
